• Rent a car using our “take a break from the boat” program and go see the world famous mount St. Helens volcano and surrounding sites.
• Spend a day anchored in a great swimming area for the kids.
• Take the Zodiac outboard inflatable exploring the backwaters.
• Spend a couple days in the great city of Portland, Oregon at the downtown marina enjoying world class dining, shopping, and nightlife.
• Visit the Bonneville fish hatchery and see the 10ft sturgeon and salmon spawning.
• Explore some of the many small towns along the Columbia River.
• See museums like the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, the Columbia River Maritime Museum, Portland’s OMSI Science Center, and historic towns and places like Astoria, Oregon, World War II Kaiser shipyard ways, Fort Stevens, or Timberline Lodge on Mt hood.
• Spend the night in a secluded cove.
• Cruise all the way from the town of Hood River in the gorge down to the Pacific Ocean (approx 170 statute miles).
• Go summer snow skiing at North America ’s only year round resort.
• Try windsurfing or kite boarding near the town of Hood River in the world famous Columbia River gorge.
